How long have I been writing these columns?
Well, I wrote one in 1999, “called ‘Y6B?’” I am referring to billions of people, now up to 7.
My dad was born in 1924 when the world population was roughly 2B. He was 35 before another billion were added. Does anyone doubt population is the root cause of many of our environmental problems? World-wide access to education of all sorts, including family-planning is critical to reigning in population growth, yet many of today’s political candidates oppose these activities.
